WHAT WE DO
Packt is a Toronto-based social venture working to address the disposable packaging crisis. Our inaugural project helps local roasters and tea businesses give their customers a zero waste, reusable option.
With our eco-friendly reusable packaging you may brew your cup with a clear conscience and your favourite shops can finally offer their fresh products without disposable single-use waste.
“The coffee industry is so into sustainability, ethics, traceability -- until the BAG. Everything goes out the window.”
- Local Toronto coffee roaster about single-use disposable coffee bags
Packt's reusable bags are made of a hemp and cotton blend that is lined with food-grade water-proof film. They can safely carry food and are lovingly handmade in Quebec.
The bags are washed and sanitized in a commercial facility here in Toronto in accordance with health and safety regulations.
We are proud to be using detergents and sanitizers made in Canada and available in bulk, package-free.
Packt acknowledges that we exist on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.
